At St. John’s Lutheran Ministries we are committed to our
mission: providing living opportunities within nurturing
environments of hope, dignity, and love. We find ourselves
providing those opportunities even in death.
Twice Fed
As our population ages and the work force begins to shrink,
we will need to discover new ways to care for our frail
elders. The Twice Fed Program involves volunteers in
assisting residents who need help eating meals. This
exciting program includes training and provides hands-on
ministry.
Elder Sharaths
An
Elder Sharath is responsible for multiple skills focusing on
Cottage residents. After specialized training,
they become an integral part of the day-to-day care of
residents in a home-like environment... part of the family.
Elder
Chabars
This is a wonderful program that benefits our residents and
other staff----but it also has proven to be a blessing to
these high school “Elder Chabars.” If you know somebody age
16 through college who might enjoy this program just have
them stop by for an application or call 655-5600.
Teen Time
Teenagers volunteer summertime hours to assist residents.
