Health Insurance
St. John's Lutheran Ministries provides health insurance to
employees who work in a regularly scheduled position of at
least 24 hours per week. We contribute toward the employee's
portion of the premium. You may also add dependents to the
policy.
Dental Insurance
Employees who are enrolled in the health insurance plan may
also add dental coverage for an additional cost.
Life Insurance
$10,000 term life insurance coverage is provided to all
employees who are enrolled in the health insurance plan.
Voluntary term life insurance is also available for
employees to purchase additional life insurance on self,
spouse or children.
Flexible Spending Accounts
We offer health care and dependent care spending accounts
which allow employees to pay out-of-pocket health care
expenses and childcare expenses with pre-tax dollars.
Long Term Disability Insurance
The long term disability insurance benefit is available to
all employees working in a regularly scheduled position of
at least 24 hours per week. Qualified employees are
automatically enrolled after six months of employment.
Employees are insured for 60% of their basic monthly
earnings. St. John's pays the entire cost of the disability
insurance premium.
Short-Term Disability
Eligible employees accrue short-term disability hours to
provide continued salary for illnesses or injuries that
extend beyond 40 continuous hours.
Earned Time Hours
Earned Time Hours combines vacation, holidays, personal days
and sick days into a bank of time that employees use as they
choose. ETH accrues for part-time and full-time employees
based on the number of hours worked.
Retirement
St. John's fully funds a retirement plan for eligible
employees after one year of employment. Employees direct
where their funds are invested from a variety of choices.
Tax Sheltered Annuities
Employees of St. John's have the opportunity to save money
for retirement through pre-tax, payroll deducted dollars.
Center
For Generations
Bring your child to work! St. John's Lutheran Ministries
owns and operates an intergenerational childcare center
(Center for Generations) for children from newborn to age
12. Pre-school as well as after-schools programs are also
provided. Discounted fees are paid by employees through
convenient payroll deductions. Hours of operation: Monday
through Friday, 6:00 am - 6:00
p.m.
Pharmacy Benefit
Employees may purchase prescriptions items for themselves
and their immediate family members at discounted prices.
Employee Assistance Program
The Employee Assistance Program is a confidential counseling
program which is available to all employees and their
immediate family members. St. John's Lutheran Ministries
pays the entire cost of the program.
Educational Scholarships
Scholarships are available to employees who have worked at
least one year in a regularly scheduled position.
Applications are made to the St. John's Foundation.
Career Ladders
Tuition assistance and Loan repayment are available to
employees who have worked at least one year in a regularly
scheduled position.
Safety/Wellness Program
The Safety/Wellness Program is a quarterly event with cash
incentives built in for Safety, Perfect Attendance & Health
Club memberships to reward employees for safe work habits
and leading healthy life styles.
Employer-Assisted Housing
St. John's Lutheran Ministries assists employees in
achieving the dream of homeownership. Education, resources
and financial assistance are available to eligible
employees.
Adoption Benefit
St. John's Lutheran Ministries supports employees who are
blessed with adopting a child. Financial assistance is
provided to eligible employees. If you
